Georgia Rehabilitation Outreach (GRO) is a dynamic, comprehensive specialty behavioral health organization designed to help people recover. This “not-for-profit” company, established in 1998, successfully operates a seamless continuum of flexible, person-centered, evidence-based programs that promote recovery, self-sufficiency and community tenure. Concerned about the increasing incidents of hospital admissions, homelessness, criminal arrests and incarcerations among persons with serious persistent mental illness, the company was formed in 1998 to address this alarming trend.

GRO is an approved specialty provider of the Georgia Department of Human Resources (DHR), Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities and Addictive Diseases (MHDDAD). Programs are accredited by the Commission for the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) and governed by a board of directors and all relevant federal, state and local regulatory authorities. Programs are supported through public and private funding.

Mission

The mission of GRO is to provide specialized psychosocial rehabilitation and community support to the “hard to reach” in Georgia.
