Certified Addiction Counselor

Description of Duties

This position of moderate difficulty is responsible for providing a variety of case management and outreach interventions to consumers in their natural environment. The candidate will serve as an advocate in assisting consumers in accessing community resources, teaching and modeling self-help and coping skills.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be licensed by the ICRC or GACA, with two years of full-time work experience in the field of mental health. Preference will be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess one or more of the following: Certified Addiction Counselor, Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Professional or considerable forensic experience.
